In an effort to raise money to donate to Making Strides, Adirondack Winery has launched a limited edition “Drink for a Cure” blush wine; which it has for sale at its Lake George Tasting Room and online store the entire month of October. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle benefits Making Strides. It is also donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of its “Fight Like a Girl, Drink Like a Lady” rhinestone t-shirts to the cause.

Additionally, Adirondack Winery’s Events Manager, Stephanie Ottino, has created a fundraising event to raise more money for Making Strides. The “Drink for a Cure” FREE Wine Tasting & Fundraising Event will be held at Adirondack Winery’s Lake George Tasting Room (285 Canada St.) on October 19th and 20th. During this event, attendees will enjoy free tastes of Adirondack Winery wines and a “Pink Ribbon” wine slushie, as well as partake in fundraising prize games and raffle drawings; all of which proceeds will benefit this worthwhile charity.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is more than just a breast cancer walk. It empowers people from across the country to come together one million strong – as a unified force to raise funds and awareness to end breast cancer. Nationwide, nearly 300 Making Strides walks occur each year, and each one is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor those who have battled breast cancer, raise awareness about what we can do to stay well, and raise money to help fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Walks range in distance from 3 to 5 miles.  Like Making Strides on Facebook>>
