Tis the Season for a Few of My Favorite Things!

Posted on Updated on

Adk-StockingsThere’s so much to love about this time of year; Holiday lights, the first snowfall, delicious food and wine, family and so much more! In light of the holiday season, I thought I would take a minute to share a list of some of my favorite things:

I just love a holiday deal, and it doesn’t get much better than free shipping! For one whole week, you can stock up on your favorites like Strawsling, the Wine Maker Series, Jewel Collection and Pinot Noir and save BIG by avoiding shipping costs that can run well over $20! It’s the perfect time to replenish your wine rack for your expected (& unexpected) holiday guests!

Holiday parties are the times when we catch up with friends and family, reminisce about the year gone by while enjoying good food and good wine. So, what’s better than a holiday party? How about a holiday theme party?! Adirondack Winery invites you to Wine Up to the Holidays with ourHoliday-Party-Header FREE Wine Tasting and Ugly Sweater Party on December 14th & 15th! Come wearing your favorite “ugly” holiday sweater or festive attire and be entered for a chance to win an Adirondack Winery gift card, all while enjoying a Jingle Bells, Holly Jolly or Deck the Halls Wine Tasting!

It is always nice to see people getting in the holiday spirit, giving to good causes and to people in need this time of year. It’s even nicer to be a part of it. We feel thankful for the opportunity to lend a helping hand to spread some holiday joy this season. Adirondack Winery is currently hosting a Holiday Toy & Gift Drive for the children of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks through the weekend of December 14th & 15th. We are inviting people in the community to consider donating an unwrapped toy or gift for a child between the ages of 6-18; Gift cards are welcome too!

Along with other local businesses, Adirondack Winery is also a drop-off for the Salvation Army Food Pantry. You can drop off a non-perishable food item at the Tasting Room now through December 20th.

Ok, well that’s a given; I do work for a winery! There’s just something great about cuddling up with a warm blanket and a nice glass of wine this time of year! Right now I am loving our Baco Noir; A medium-bodied, dry red wine, naturally low in tannins and slightly acidic. It carries tones of plum and blackberries followed by aromas of caramel and a slight smokiness, all perfectly balanced with oak. It is a great wine to sip by the fire on a chilly December night!

Our Pinot Noir makes a great pairing with most holiday dishes and our Red Carriage is seasonably delicious this time of year with the crisp, fresh taste of cranberries blended with the fruity, velvety richness of Chianti.

Holiday-Wines-FacebookWho doesn’t love presents? While it may be the season for giving, it’s always fun to receive some great holiday gifts too! Some of my favorites this year are our specially-labeled, holiday wines. Our Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Amethyst Sunset are adorned with festive holiday labels, making them the perfect gift for your loved ones or for the host or hostess of your holiday party.

The gift that never fails is, of course, a gift card. What better gift for your favorite Adirondack Winery wine lovers, than a gift card to their favorite store! gift-cardAfter weeks of shopping for everyone else, give the gift that lets them shop for some of their favorite things!

Well , I could go on forever, but this list is called “A Few of my Favorite Things!” I hope you all have a very happy holiday season and I hope that you’ll pay us a visit at the Tasting Room soon.
