As we bid farewell to 2013 and welcome in the New Year, we are left with a year’s worth of memories and milestones that we are so proud of. If we had to sum up Adirondack Winery’s year in one word, it would be “Growth.” We challenged ourselves to try new things and to strive to make Adirondack Winery a household name across the state.
We added not one, but TWO departments to our company this past year; one of them being our Events Department. We brought on our Events Manager, Stephanie, as well as some new, off-site employees and traveled the state tasting and selling our award-winning wines. We were on the road just about every weekend this summer and fall, participating in New York wine festivals, farmers’ markets and charity events. We had so much fun and saw so many new and familiar faces, that we can’t wait to get out and do it all over again! Is there a wine festival or event near you that you would like to see us at? We also established an official, Wholesale Department in 2013! We brought on our Wholesale Representative, Heather at the end of the summer and she hit the ground running! She has made it her goal to get Adirondack Winery wines on liquor store shelves across the state & she is well on her way with over 65 stores now carrying our wines! We didn’t just grow our staff this year, we grew our wine selection too! We introduced 5 new wines to our menu that were received with rave reviews and even some awards! Our Seyval Blanc, which is part of our Wine Maker Series, came out on top, winning TWO Gold Medals for us; One at the New York State Fair and one at the World Value Wine Challenge!
Taking into account all of our accomplishments and growth over the past year, we are most proud of our Case Club. 2013 was our busiest year to date, and so much of that is due to our customers who come back time and time again, bringing family and friends to the Tasting Room, and even ordering from us online throughout the year.
We wanted to come up with a way to thank our “best” customers and as a result we came up with Adirondack Winery’s Case Club; A Club that entitles our “best customers” to our “best discounts!” With the purchase of just 1 case of wine, customers are automatically enrolled into our Case Club, which gives them up to 20% off future wine purchases for the rest of the year. If they purchase 3 cases within a year, they earn up to 25% off wine!
We introduced Case Club half way through the year and ended up with over 350 members! We look forward to growing this program in 2014 and giving back to our customers who have given so much to us.
With all this extra wine we have been selling, we’re going to need to make some more… and fast! We ended the year by bringing in five new, 1,000 gallon tanks so that we don’t run short on any of your favorite wines, like Strawsling or Prospect Mountain White!
With such a successful year behind us, saying goodbye to 2013 is bittersweet. We are grateful for the year gone by, but excited and hopeful for the year to come. We look forward to venturing out to new events and new stores, having both new & returning customers visit us in Lake George, and maybe even introducing a few new surprises along the way!
